Derek Michael Zirk passed away on Wednesday October 19th 2022.
Derek was a pillar of the London Ball Hockey community and a long time member of the London Ball Hockey Association. During his time in the LBHA (since stats started being recorded in 2008) until his final game being in the shortened 2021 Season, Derek amassed the following: 397 Games Played 193 Goals 282 Assists 475 Points 90 Penalty Minutes Derek was always an upstanding member of the community and was respected by his peers. We were saddened with his passing however, his wish for ball hockey to thrive within the community was passed on by his family, with a donation to the London Ball Hockey Association / London Minor Ball Hockey Association to create the Derek Zirk Assistance Fund. |

Being who he was, it would pain him to see kids or anyone not be able to play the game that he loved so much because of financial hardship. This fund is designed to assist families and individuals play the game of Ball Hockey and all monies within the fund will be directed to persons in need.
Applications to the fund should be received 30 days prior to the start of any season or payment due date. In order to apply for assistance, please complete the form below and submit it to [email protected] |
