Extra Playing Time?

Does your child love playing ball hockey?  Can they not get enough?  Since it was such a success last year, we will once again be offering the opportunity for players to "play up" a division.  For example, those playing in the Squirt division, can play in the Tyke division.  This will allow for those children who wish to be challenged more or those who wish to have more playing time a chance for this.

The fee for this opportunity is $25 for the season.  This fee is to pay for the additional insurance required for the participant to play in the division.

Participants playing up a division, may receive an additional jersey if there is a jersey for that team available.  If no jerseys are available, players playing up a division will be required to wear a t-shirt or other jersey that is of the same colour as that of the team.

In order to qualify for this, each participant will be required to still play with their team in their own division.  This participation will be monitored by the coaching staff and the convenors.  Any participants found not playing for their original team yet still playing for their additional team will not qualify for this and will not be allowed to play in the higher division until their attendance with their original team is confirmed.  This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis as we do understand that things "come up" would could prevent one from making an earlier game.

2012 Summer Season

Now that the holidays are mostly behind us, we are pleased to announce that registration for the 2012 summer season will begin on January 2nd 2012.

Like previous seasons, registration can be done online, in person or through the post office.

For this coming season, the LMBHA will be supplying soccer style socks as well as an individual water bottle for each participant.  Due to this, the cost of the registration has been increased by $5.  Just like previous seasons, we will be offering the early bird special ($10 off registration) from January 2nd until February 12th 2012.

One change from the previous season, if you / your child wishes to try out for the Provincial Rep team, we will be collecting the $30 fee at the time of registration.  This will prevent the coaches from having to collect / be the middle person with this.  If you / your child decides after sign up that they would like to try out, please just see Rick, Jason or Ean and they will ensure everything is set up for that.

For further information on registration, please click the "Register Now" button on the left.

Trophies, Plaques, All-Star Medallions

If you have still not picked up your trophy, plaque or all-star medallion, please contact Rick Price by e-mail at pricedick@hotmail.com ; info@lmbha.com or by telephone at
(519) 777-4519.

We will post the divisional all-stars, scoring champions, goalie champions and winning teams in the coming days for you to reference in order to confirm if you have any trophies outstanding.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us know.

SHIN PADS

It has been noticed over the past couple of weeks that there is some confusion regarding the use of shin pads.  To clarify this, all players are REQUIRED to wear shin pads for their protection. This was a mandatory piece of equipment and was listed on both the registration flyer and on the website. If the refs find anyone not wearing this equipment, they will enforce the rule.  We as a league would like every player to wear them to prevent the possibility of an injury occurring.  We understand that some people do not like shin pads however for the safety of all participants, they are required to be worn.
